We brought the tree home, put it in the living room and commenced with the decorating. It went something like this-Ian puts the lights and tinsel on the tree, I get out and unwrap the ornaments and decorations, Evan starts putting the ornaments on the tree, Ben takes the ornaments off the tree. Needless to say it was not a quick process. However, both of the boys had a lot of fun examining each of the ornaments as they came out of the boxes.
Now the tree happily sits in our living room fully decorated. The boys love looking at it and playing around it. Lucky for us, all of the breakable ornaments are strategically placed on the upper portion of the tree. Quite a few ornaments typically surround the tree on the carpet because Benny likes to examine the bottom of the tree.
Just today, the first presents were put under the tree, brought home from preschool-from Evan to mom and dad. Now, our festive tree is complete, and I can't wait for more holiday fun!
(I can't seem to find my Christmas tree pictures, so everyone will have to settle for this little bit of holiday cheer...)
(Santa Ben says "Merry Christmas"...this is how he chooses to wear his Santa hat.)

Making good memories!! The boys will remember some of those ornaments when they are grown. Little family traditions make holidays special. Eventually Ben will put the ornaments ON the tree. Enjoy!! Love, Mommie Dearest
