Well, my sister says I needed a blog. Since Evan's arrival there has been a call for lots of e-mails with pictures of him, so we decided that Audra was right, and we needed a place to put all of our pictures and updates so that everyone could just log on whenever they wanted and get their Evan fix. It has been wonderful to hear from so many people in these first couple weeks of Evan's life. He's lucky to have so many people that care about him already.
So, as my first attempt at the wonderful world of blogging, I will try to get you caught up with the first two weeks of Evan's busy life.
Here's our first family picture with Dr. Foltz. This was right after Evan's birth. He's looking red-faced, but adorable, I'm looking a bit tired and delirious, but Ian and Dr. Foltz are looking fresh-faced and happy. We were all just glad that everything went smoothly and that Evan Bitler Davis had finally arrived.
Bath times are not our favorite things. Here's a picture of Evan recovering after one of his baths on his daddy's lap. Maybe he'll like real baths better, but until his umbillical cord stump heals, he's stuck with sponge baths.
When we're not getting a bath, we also spend a lot of our time just laying around. He're we're trying really hard to blend in with the blanket on the couch. He thinks if he is really, really still, you might not even know he's there. Notice the lovely shade of Duke blue that Evan's wearing.
The other thing that consumes most of our time is eating. We sleep, we eat and we fall asleep while eating and playing. Evan is not the neatest eater in the world as you can see, and eating definitely does wear us out.
