Our First Durham Visitors

Like I said earlier, it’s so much fun to have visitors, especially when you’re in a new place.  So, we were super excited when we found out that our family friends the Masinicks would be driving through on their summer RV tour of the country.  Looking at all the St. Louis options they decided that they also wanted to check out one of our favorites, The City Museum.

So, they drove in the night before and we met them at the museum that day.  As usual, we all had a great time climbing through the tunnels.  I think almost every member of our group needed a bandaid at some point in the visit though.  We even discovered a whole new section of the museum that our family hadn’t seen before with more tunnels, a super tall slide, and even pipe organ music.  That place is so cool!

After our visit at City Museum, we again needed some refreshment.  So, we went back to Fitz’s for some burgers and root beer floats.  Yet again, it didn’t disappoint.  After our delicious lunch, we unfortunately had to get everyone back to their RV so they could continue their cross country adventure, but not without a quick tour of downtown St. Louis.  We passed them by the Cardinals stadium and the Arch before dropping them off.

It was definitely a quick but fun visit, and we can’t wait to see them again soon!
