Last week Evan and I went with some friends to the airport observation park. This is one of Evan's favorite places, and it didn't disappoint. Evan happily watched the airplanes arrive for quite a while and then moved on to pushing trucks around the model runways, digging in the sand, and playing with the bubbles that were brought by his friend Quinn.
The only negative part of our trip was the screaming that ensued when Evan realized that we had to get in the car to go home. He cried and cried. Then he got sunblock in his eyes and he cried some more. Needless to say, Evan wants to head back to the airport soon and have more fun in the sun.
It's shaping up to be a great summer here in sunny Durham!
(Evan is entranced by the airplanes, as usual.)
(Evan and his friend Quinn take a break from their trucks to watch a landing plane.)
(The boys: Evan, Quinn, and Abe practice the fine art of bubble blowing.)
