A Little Spacy

Recently, Evan has been learning about space in preschool.  He's been coming home and singing a song about all of the planets while he points them out on his planet placemat.  It was all in preparation for a field trip to the UNC planetarium which was last week.  He loved it and has been all about planets ever since.

This weekend, Evan and I pulled out the play dough while Ben was sleeping and Ian was out.  We started by making a sun, copying in a picture on the play dough box.  Then, we continued from there.  We discussed what color to make each planet, what size, etc.  I might have helped him with some rings and other details, but he worked very hard.  He also sat and played with play dough for several straight hours that day!
